Madrid (Spain)

The demo building in Madrid, Spain, is situated in the outskirts of the town, in Ciudad de los Ángeles neighborhood. The five-storey building is built in the late 1950’s which is reflected in the architecture. Because of the appearing of cracks, lack of insulation on envelope (façade and roof), moisture problems and facilities damaged due to no maintenance the building is in need for renovation.

RetroKit will do several renovations at the building:

  • 8 cm. of STO ETICS of rock wool will be put on the façade.
  • KOKOTAS ventilation boxes will be put in terrace of each dwelling and in all windows of the “demo dwelling” (3rd-Left).
  • BG Tech window frame will be put in terrace of each dwelling and in all windows of the “demo dwelling” (3rd-Left).
  • STO-FRAUNHOFER PVT panels will be put on the south façade (and the rest of the equipment needed) to supply preheating of water to the “demo dwelling” and electricity to the ventilation boxes.
